Twinned countries :: Development agents

TWINNED COUNTRIES

Each partner will have its own twinned country. The aim is to create systematic co-operation and interaction between the partners. The selection of partners was based on the development needs of each country at a national and local level. The Finnish partners are responsible for the transnational network coordination.

  • the practicalities, such as language and proximity to one other

EXPERIENCE OF THE WORK WITHIN TWINNED COUNTRIES

The work of twinned coutries have been clearly the strong part of the project implementation. Also we have been lucky, because the matching process have been very successful and there has been no need to change the twinning partners during the project.

The twinning was made in our second transnational meeting. By that time we already know each other to make decisissions. Also we spend quite a lot of tome to focus baseline information about our local areas and organisations involving with this project.

The twinning country work has based very close contacts between partners. Contacts have been weekly basis and also involved a lot of professional consulting with wide range of employment issues. Mostly contacts have been by e-mail and phone but we see that the video-meetings are also extreamly useful and quite easy to carry out.

UNEXPECTED RESULTS OF TWIN COUNTRY WORK

There are always also unexpected results on the projects. We will also try to report them. Here you find unexpected results of twin country work of West-Cumbria and Cherbourg.
